Hon. Ward S. Arnold (Ret)

Ward Arnold

Judge Arnold serves as one of GovTech's Subject Matter Experts (SME). As his resume indicates, he has extensive knowledge of the Judicial Process and the use of technology as it applies to the Court. Judge Arnold is a seasoned business and political professional and, as such, can provide insight in navigating the political terrain during the technology process.

During a recent engagement, Judge Arnold provided consulting services directing the establishment of a Governance Committee which is an important decision-making body for any integrated criminal justice information initiative.

Judge Arnold enjoyed a 21 year career as an Associate and Circuit Court judge for the 22nd Circuit Court. He was the Presiding Judge during the last two years of his tenure. Prior to his judicial service he had a private practice concentrating on litigation. Additionally, he served as a Public Defender for the County of McHenry, Illinois. He is currently an assigned arbitrator for the 22nd Judicial Circuit.

Judge Arnold received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois with a major in Economics. He has participated in numerous seminars for the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts as an attendee and as an instructor. He is a graduate of the National Judicial College and has continued to attend their educational programs, even after his retirement.

Judge Arnold is also a veteran having served in the United States Army.
